Use these engaging cards to create captions for a variety of social media posts while targeting the following goals:
Perspective-taking and inferencing: how might the caption change if it were written from a different point of view?
Syntax: use several different conjunctions (coordinating, subordinating, correlative, and adverbial) to create complex sentences and caption the photo
Vocabulary: improve word choice by creating captions using synonyms for common words
Articulation: practice sounds at the sentence level by having students generate sound-loaded captions or hashtags!
Humor: incorporate word play or multiple meaning words into captions and hashtags!
These cards are great for teletherapy! This resource can be used digitally and annotated on using Zoom (or similar platforms), or it can be uploaded to Google classroom for independent work. Cards can also be printed and laminated for use as a physical product.
